Good afternoon community.
I started using MX Linux recently and I'm finding the system amazing, very agile and extremely stable, the developers are to be congratulated.
I would like to clarify a question with more advanced users about FluxBox, XFCE and KDE versions.
Of these 3 desktop managers, which is lighter and faster (responsive)?
My focus is performance, I don't bother with looks.
XFCE, FluxBox or KDE?

Re: XFCE, FluxBox or KDE?
fluxbox consumes the least resources. xfce and KDE are pretty close and its pretty much a matter of personal preference.

Can I install MX Linux only with FluxBox? Or do I need to install with XFCE and then install FluxBox module?

Re: XFCE, FluxBox or KDE?
right now fluxbox shares the iso with the Xfce editions. You can logout and use the session chooser to chose fluxbox over Xfce, even on the live media.rmcaetanoalves wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 4:19 pmThanks for the information...dolphin_oracle wrote: Wed Jun 30, 2021 3:43 pm fluxbox consumes the least resources. xfce and KDE are pretty close and its pretty much a matter of personal preference.
