Stop Using Don't Updte Microsoft Edge Dev,

I did dabble in giving the linux version of edge a shot just for kicks on my main machine via linux mint... Yeah, it needs work.

I mean the Windows version of edge isn't so bad on my windows only (for now) HP laptop, it runs better on it than firefox or chrome.
On my main dualboot machine the jury is still out, Firefox on my main machine has been slogging as of late on Windows 10 and Chrome and edge seem equal.
Seems edge is more catered to laptops and lower power machines as there it's actually not so bad, has a little less memory and battery consumption on my windows only laptop.

Can you post the result of "apt-get -f install" or "apt-get purge edge-dev" (or whatever name the package uses?)

Just claiming that is broken for everybody it might not be so, maybe there's something specific to your system. I understand the Microsoft hate but I'm not prepared to assign guilt with such little information, is anybody else having the same problem?

Can't remember the exact syntxex on a different computer and it has been corrected by using a snapshot before the issue and deleting edge from the snapshot. I was basically edge is currupt bad and you need to re=install edge yet edge before you can continue in synaptic. Got pretty much the same error in the terminal also when trying to hard delete pretty annoying. Should have though to take some screen snaps notes sorry.

I've been using Edge dev build 92.0.873.1 for the past 7hrs at work. This morning I added Bitwarden and Ublock Origin extensions then imported Firefox bookmarks and history etc. No issues so far. I intend to continue using it until I do encounter a problem of note.

This thread appears to have been started for an unverifiable reason, I have found no other reports relating to it.

the beta channel installs without any issue
