Hi Stevo and all. Can you please package (XMPP client) Gajim 1.3.1 for MX 19? They have a flatpak but I don't wish to use flatpak. And installing from Debian testing would conflict. Thanks.

@qwertyblahblah from a quick look it looks like it can be backported for MX-19.
I'll work on it over the next few days, if I run into problems which will make it take longer, I'll post back here.

@qwertyblahblah apologies on the delayed follow up. Full time job and life... MX doesn’t always come first, even though I’d like it to.
So I did work on it shortly after my last reply. It seems there are a lot of reasons Debian or anyone else hasn’t backported it yet.
Long story short, I got 3 dependencies deep and hit a snag, so I dropped it in my “Needs More Work” folder.
Sorry if I got your hopes up at first glance, it’s hard to go down the trail enough, and respond to people’s requests fast sometimes.
Some of the dependencies I had built for attempts at other packages that don’t look like they can be backported either., or at least I haven’t gotten them to.
On a good note, it’ll be available in MX-21.
