NTPsec and NTPsec-NTPdate

#1 Post by K-mik@Z »

NTPsec, as its name implies, is a more secure NTP. (https://www.ntpsec.org/)

Why are ntpsec and ntpsec-ntpdate not used by default (instead of ntp and ntpdate)

They may well be considered for MX-21.

We switched to them with the Raspberry Pi build last month to solve an update problem, so will have the chance to watch the performance outside a server context for which I have read they were designed.
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin
