MailSpring - new open source email application
Just saw a very positive review by techhut on YouTube...on Mailspring, a new open source email application. Maybe something for MX repository in future?

I see they're planning an opt-out for the now-required Mailspring ID:

Re: MailSpring - new open source email application
It looks like a very good email client. In MX KDE, It would not install from the current Linux deb available.

Re: MailSpring - new open source email application
It is not very new actually, I have been running it for 3 or 4 years now in many differet distros and I am happy with it. It is the closest thing to the best email client in Windows: EMClient (which I miss dearly in Linux)
I had no problems installing it from their .deb package and it works fine in MXKDE.

Re: MailSpring - new open source email application
This Mailspring-Libre doesn't require the ID: https://github.com/notpushkin/Mailsprin ... /releases/
But currently, it doesn't support pgp/gpg. But you could use other apps for that and still use Mailspring.

Installs but errors. libsecret is installed. But it wants a keyring.JuhaT wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 9:02 am It is not very new actually, I have been running it for 3 or 4 years now in many differet distros and I am happy with it. mailspring-1.8.0-libre-amd64.deb
EDIT: It needed gnome-keyring to run properly.
