xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.0 not working correctly

#1 Post by MiVo »

The latest update of xfce4-weather-plugin 0.11.0 is not working correctly, it is missing Dutch language and I am not able to add labels to be shown on the panel. How can I solve this ?

Labels on the panel?

Do you mean the text you can opt to show next to it? I have that working here.

Can you show your quick system info please? Run it, hit paste in a reply.

Yes, it only shows the sun or clouds, but not the temperature and other details next to it, and I can not add it.

Hope the quick System info is usefull.

So, in Scrollbox you are checking Show scrollbox with the number of lines?

You click the dropdown, select what you want, click add?

I haven't selected any font or color, but you might want to try that, see if it helps.

Oh, how foolish of me, didn't check the dropdown. Now it is there.

But how do I get it in Dutch language ?

That I don't know.. maybe someone else does. I wager all your system settings are set to Dutch already?

Yes, they are set all to Dutch, and the previous version of the weather plugin was in Dutch.

Here's the same thing. After the last update to the xfce-weather-plugin 0.11.0 the German translation is missing. With an MX-Linux update in the virtualbox, exactly the same thing happened. Before the update, everything was perfectly translated into german. So where is the best place to report the bug?

I'll take a look at it again to make sure the translation files were processed like they were supposed to have been.

Edit: yes, looks like they didn't make it because I used Buster's debhelper 12 for the build--let's see if 13 works better.

No, it's not. I'll have to work on it to see if I can fix that.

After a lot of trial and error, I have discovered that only disabling the automatic autoreconf step in debian/rules allows the .mo localization files to be created and installed on a MX 19 base, so will upload the fixed versions now.

Apparently, the new configure file that gets created by autoreconf does not create and install those files. :frown:

Here's the fixed packages if you need them early: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZhlfpN ... sp=sharing
