Lock screen upper bar disappearing after suspend

#1 Post by Digi_Ohhh »

Delete this please.

The upper bar is there at first, then simply disappears after some time (like two seconds).

Sorry for the low quality. If you know how to take screenshots in LightDM, please tell me.
As you can see, there is no upper bar and everything is shifted upwards by one cm (more or less). Also, there is a black bar at the bottom of the monitor.
Maybe one minute later, the upper bar comes back.

It may look like I have moved the mouse cursor, actually I did not.
It does not happen when I log out, for instance. As far as I can tell, only Suspend triggers this behavior.
This is a fresh install, I don't think Quick System Info is going to be very helpful. Also, I am pretty sure I can easily reproduce this on a VM.
But here you go.

I'm pretty sure this isn't a bug, it's as designed. When you suspend, your current session is stored in RAM so the lock screen that appears is just a password entry screen to restore your suspended session. It's not the same as the LightDM login screen (even though it looks like it) where you can select your Desktop Environment, locale and language, which you can only do when starting a brand new session, not when resuming a suspended one.
