I'm going to re-iterate what the others have already said: we can't help you until you have posted the Quick System Information for your computer.
HP 15; ryzen 3 5300U APU; 500 Gb SSD; 8GB ram
HP 17; ryzen 3 3200; 500 GB SSD; 12 GB ram
Idea Center 3; 12 gen i5; 256 GB ssd;

In Linux, newer isn't always better. The best solution is the one that works.

sorry, i will provide some specs in every request of help.
i know is old but with the previous distro (not xfce, mint cinnamon that is more heavy resources required) that i was using there were no problems with chromium.

First of all. I think basically every browser is up to date on MX 17-19. The exception is Chromium, because it's a pain to build and Debian maintainers seem to have better things to do. Anyway, the good news is that Linux Mint picked up the slack and started building both for Ubuntu and Debian.

Just grab the Chromium deb package from Mint. Open Gdebi from the menu and then open the Chromium deb from Gdebi menu bar and install it.

Note to self and others: SysVinit is a good option. However if you run into problems try with systemd first. This applies to AppImages, Flatpaks, GitHub packages and even some Debian packages.

If the idea is to continue the stability then is Debian stable.
Updates will not be the latest.
i will try the deb package of the latest version of chromium and i will let you know if the flickery continues and if the gmail works with the 86 version of the browser.

Just install it with Gdebi. Open the Chromium package from the Gdebi menu bar.

This is the 64-bit version, because I don't use 32-bit.
