I haven't had it installed for years.
Beyond that, I don't think you can use it with the Brave browser?

Funny you should mention. I've been updating adobe-flashplugin for years, just decided to uninstall. No ill effects.

I use Chrome for all my fun web browsing & Waterfox for all my serious sites. I don't think anything hasn't worked so far. Does Chrome handle its own flash independent of the installed version?

The nadir of flash technology is a little before my time to be honest. Only vague recollections of security updates. I know there has been some concern about the difficulty of archiving flash content due to its embedded runtime and proprietary status.

Go to adobe's flash test page in Chrome and see what happens...
