Who says you can't come home?

#1 Post by uncle mark »

Finally back after installing MX KDE. Feels good. Lots of data retrieval and tweaking and configging to do, but that's what long weekends are for, right?

I'll no doubt have some stoopid questions and will most likely step on some peoples' toes, but I'll try not to cause too much trouble.
Custom build Asus/AMD/nVidia circa 2011 -- MX 19.2 KDE
Acer Aspire 5250 -- MX 21 KDE
Toshiba Satellite C55 -- MX 18.3 Xfce
Assorted Junk -- assorted Linuxes

You need to start earning all that money you're pulling out of this.

Okay, first stoopid question. In Dolphin, I seem to be missing the 'right click> Move to' function. Root actions are there, but that's not what I'm looking for.

You can activate that in Dolphin settings > Services

Good to see you back.
MX KDE brings up some serious nostalgia. I think MEPIS, in a way, ruined me for just about everything that came after, and not just because of KDE. I'm still astounded it kept running well for so long for me despite all my attempts to break it :) I can't say that about many distros I hopped with back then.
