dockbarx has unmet dependencies

#1 Post by chrispop99 »

A Facebook group member has run into a problem whilst trying to install dockbarx. I have tested for him, and the same problem happens. (The FB member was installing from the terminal, I was using the PI.)

Here is the relevant output from the Package Installer:

Code: Select all

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
dockbarx : Depends: dockbarx-dockx but it is not going to be installed
Recommends: gnomepanel-applet-dockbarx but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

What version of MX?

IDK what the FB member is using; I tested with 19.2-64 non-AHS.

Confirmed if only the dockbarx package is selected for installation. Clicking on Details in MXPI to show what would be installed shows nothing, even if installing recommends is also selected. I didn't try also selecting some dockbarx applets as well, nor dockbarx-common.

(Edit: I tried installing both dockbarx and dockbarx-common and Show Details still showed that nothing would be installed.)

Thanks D_O. Is this something that can be fixed, either for all, or just to get this one user up?

that's a good question.

its our package, so probably stevo and the package team would need to look at it.

or maybe they have...there is a version in mxtest too.

Many thanks. The version in MX Test Repo installs fine.

Sounds like I need to move the dockbarx in Test to Main (after checking for dependencies also in Test).
