Looking for a good working "todo list" program ..

Hi all,

Looking for a good working "todo list" program. Presently eyeing up - Task Coach. Free and opensource.
What program do you use and why do you like it?

Task Coach is a simple open source todo manager to keep track of personal tasks and todo lists. It is designed for composite tasks, and also offers effort tracking, categories, notes and more. There is a DEB package along with many others .. including Arch.

Edit: Update - Forgot to mention - This is for my laptop (linux) PC and not for a phone. I do have cell-phones, but don't use them much at all.

I use Simplenote because it offers cloud sync, which may or may not be a desired feature. It's simple and I don't need more features.

I use KOrganizer (TDE version).

Not real sure that's what your looking for, as it does a bunch more than to-do lists, but here's the repo, instructions, etc.

Normal install instructions, add the repository file, then:

If you're already a KDE5 user, their version is possibly already installed?

I usually now just take things down in a note. I wrote one, since I couldn't find the right one for me. I integrated it with fzf and just called it sn for (Simple Note). Here is that script if your interesting in it.

The script (sn) idea is very interesting. I got sn and I'll change it so it calls a different editor, or I'll try out micro.

There is a freeware version of a rather excellent PIM that in the freeware form does Tasks which would probably suit you if you were running Windows. Unfortunately, the software is not compatible with Linux. Still, if you perhaps dual boot you might be interested?
