KDE scaling works well for HiDPI. There are a couple of exceptions, one being the system tray icon size, a potential fix for which has already been mentioned.

The other problem is SDDM. There appears to be no utility to even adjust font sizes. I found a method in a Google search:

In /etc/sddm.conf, add the following

Code: Select all

[X11]
EnableHiDPI=true
ServerArguments=-nolisten tcp -dpi 192
then reboot.

It worked perfectly with my XPS13. I wonder if at some point both things could be added to 'Tweak'?

When I try to change time zone in System Settings, I first get two error messages ('Unable to change NTP settings' and 'Unable to set current time') before it asks the root password. It works after that, but maybe a conflict with 'MX Date and Time'?
When I try to change the time or the date, it also gives the two errors, but then does nothing.

I see this was mentioned in the Beta1 thread. Ok.

Glad it's appreciated.

Maybe you know this, but the idevicemounter is barely readable in a light theme. I've no iphone or such so can't test if it works. KDE Connect works.
Two conky's don't work for me: MX-ManyRoads/cpufile and MX-SideDiag/conky.conf. Maybe some sensor not working I thought, but they still don't work after 'sudo sensors-detect'.
Btw, the MX-LSD conky is brilliant.

And just a remark about MX Cleanup: it doesn't seem very useful to have an option of cleaning ~/.thumbnails because it doesn't even exist on most distros. I have a .thumbnails folder on Mint, but it's less than a MB, and more icons than thumbnails. So having an option to clean ~/.cache/thumbnails and another to clean the rest of ~/.cache seems more logical to me. Or maybe separate option for browser cache. Problem with removing total cache is that some files there should better be in .config, as I just found out lc0 nowadays puts its opencl_tuning file in .cache.

Have you been changing application menu widgets, or switching between different global look and feel themes and choosing to use their default layouts?

If a global theme has preset Menu Favourites as part of its default layout and you choose to use their said layout (on the SystemSettings >> Look and Feel page there is a check box at the bottom), it is possible you will also inherit their favourites in the App menu, which might be reason Libreoffice was added back to your menu. This also affects launchers that you pin to your panel. If you use a Look and Feel theme's default layout, and their list of pinned launchers is different from yours, you will lose yours or find that icon pictures go missing.

For me WhiteSur-dark doesn't put LIbreoffice in the menu favourites, also when I apply the desktop layout, reboot, or change the menu to another one.
