Re: MX-19.2 KDE Beta 2 Feedback Thread
If you like and are interested, this would be a nice logo for the KDE menu.

Re: MX-19.2 KDE Beta 2 Feedback Thread
I tried out the Kim context menu actions. Most of it works fine, a few issues:
- Convert to PDF produced an unreadable file.
- .tiff files are set to be opened by Gwenview but that doesn't work (does work on version 19.12 though), GIMP and Okular can open them, so default mime setting should be changed there. Preview in Dolphin of .tiff files at first doesn't seem to work, but after the file has been opened by GIMP it does work. Weird.
- a few typos ('convert to graysale'), can be corrected in /usr/share/kservices5/ServiceMenus/kim_convertandrotate.desktop
- 'Sort by date', 'Send by mail', 'Create a photo montage' and 'About Kim' are not working, the second one maybe because it wants to use Kmail
- 'Rename images' gives files a .jpg extension, while in fact they remain the same file type. So this only works well for .jpg files.
- the option to create a Flash slideshow feels very much outdated as no one seems willing to support that filetype anymore
Overall it's a nice addition I think.

Re: MX-19.2 KDE Beta 2 Feedback Thread
With KEC: Compress there's the added issue that for options 'Compress to bz2', 'Compress to gz' and 'Parallel compress to XZ using PIXZ ...' (so the first 3) the original file (if you compress 1 file) disappears into the archive. Using the third option on more than one file fails.
One little bug with the Dolphin root actions is that when you change the owner of a file, you have to restart Dolphin to see this in file properties. But same problem when I change ownership using the embedded terminal, so a general Dolphin issue.

That's lovely! Conveys this spin perfectly. Can you reverse it? no background, color the logo?
I was begging for art work on a reddit thread yesterday. This is perfect!

Perfect touch richb to an already excellent piece of artwork from Gerson! :)

It looks great! It would be good to include it in final KDE.richb wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 7:19 pm Very nice indeed. Thanks for the work and posting. I modified it for my use and panel settings. Click image to see full size.

No right-click menu opened, but what a pain in the behind Muon is to use! <-opinionJayM wrote: Wed Jul 22, 2020 12:19 am The updater auto-opened its right-click context menu again after applying today's update (mx-tweak.) I changed its preferences afterward to use Muon instead of MX Updater View and Upgrade window. I'll find out if it still happens after the next update.
