Might be a tad dangerous if someone is used to double-click and in root mode this changes in single-click. That would be a useful addition to MX Tweak, if possible.

edit: I finally found how to do this: add

Code: Select all

SingleClick=false
in /root/.config/kdeglobals under the [KDE] header
If there is no such file, like in MX KDE, create one with following content:

Code: Select all

[KDE]
SingleClick=false
From a terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo systemsettings5
(password)

Make the change, apply and exit.

@Chris: Aha, thank you. I was already trying to find out how to change the color scheme, but this is almost too easy.
Still, if you have the option to change click-behavior in MX Tweak, not a bad idea to also have this for root mode.

Just an observation, but it sounds like most of the posts concern config teaks as opposed to actual bugs or problems with the OS. Testament to the job well done by the devs.

Small issue: When I put the 'Desktop Theme' on Breeze Light the MX Updater icon is barely visible (also after rebooting), it is light grey on slightly lighter grey. I can't find a dark mx-updater or mnotify icon in /usr/share/icons so I think some extra icons have to be created there.

Thanks for reporting. The devs are aware of this, and a new icon is being designed.

Ok, hadn't looked there yet, I still think I prefer the wireframe though

I like it too but the "pulse" type icons standout pretty well on dang near anything.

On every system startup or reboot, everything goes well until the logon screen is displayed. It is displayed for a split-second, screen is blanked to black, and then the logon screen is re-displayed.

To the best of my knowledge, I've not made any changes to the boot-up process other than to edit /etc/default/grub to remove the "quite splash" from the GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT parameter.

This is installed as the only O/S on the system and is installed on bare-metal.

Here's my QSI:
