Running live on my Lenovo, clicking"Brightness tray" in MX Tools does nothing that I can see. Running mx-tweak-systray in the terminal: "command not found." Tried to install it--not available.

Sorry if this has already been reported earlier...

I installed in a VM. I like that Guest Additions is preinstalled and works OOTB. I still see the issue where when the update finishes and the icon changes from green to clear, the updater's right-click menu opens by itself. I was watching it and the menu opened right when the icon changed colors.

I have experienced the same condition on a regular basis with an install to SSD.

@askwerth:
Sound issues solved!
RE the installation in Thinkpad E520: I reset the audio from Dummy to Analog which resolved the problem in Clementine. Audio files in wav. and mp3 now play fine. You tube still had no sound, but it turned out that sound was turned off in Firefox. I had never encountered that before, but it was an easy fix in advanced settings. It seems now that sound is working on everything right from start up. Thanks for your responses!
Everything I try now seems to be working fine. Appimages copied from another drive integrated smoothly. Scrivener Appimage works perfectly. As does Libreoffice from the Flatpack. It is all coming together.

I'm planning on installing the KDE beta bare metal on my machine. I just wanted to know if I can upgrade it to the final version once it is released.

That can't be guaranteed with a Beta.

It must be popular - the SourceForge download is pitifully slow for me at the moment!

I just noticed that does not happen when booted to systemd.
