It likely got put into the autostart folder somehow. Go to Settings>>Sessions and Startup>>Application Autostart and uncheck if it's on the list. I'm guessing it was open when you shut down and it got saved with a session.

When you logout, there is a checkbox 'Save session for future logins'. Perhaps that got checked by mistake?

Command is mx-tweak (and the name is similar) but the answer is at post #3 :hadisur_rahman wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2020 7:54 amWould u like to tell me the name which ones should be unchecked on from start-up applications.
First close that MX-Tweak window,
Then open Session and Startup => General tab and uncheck "save session"..
While you're at it, you can click to "Clear Saved Sessions" in "Session" tab https://i.stack.imgur.com/fDiB9.png
Alternatively you can
Code: Select all
rm -fr ~/.cache/sessions/*
