Re: MX-19.2 KDE Beta 1 feedback thread
When I clicked on configure software sources, the software sources window opened right up without password.
But I experienced the same issue with DIscover in alpha 1 or 2, and the issue was that it was expecting user password (sudo), not root password. That might be what is happening here, because I had only just run sudo in my terminal, so I would still be within the time period during which other sudo tasks could be done without password. That would explain why I didn't need a password for the Sources config window, which would mean there is an issue with Muon, namely it requires different passwords for different tasks.

I think, he entered the wrong (root's) password instead of user-password. kdesu seem to have a bug, when entering wrong password it hangs.richb wrote: Wed Jul 08, 2020 2:24 pmI cannot duplicate this. Whenever I install updates using the green updater icon in the notification area, something triggers the notification icon's right click menu to open. I think the menu also pops up after I install/remove something using muon, just after I close muon.

Re: MX-19.2 KDE Beta 1 feedback thread
Hello.
Here running live iso on celeron netbook.
I'm not used to kde so can't help much.
If there was a TO-DO test list I would gladly follow it.
Everything seems quite fine.
wifi ok
blootooth ok - i could pair a speaker device and use and my android phone. but when i clicked send file an error message appeared.
The apt notifier didn't show updates but untill I did an apt update.
The bad thing here is the touchpad.
If I boot with the iso I burned with multisystem, the touchpad works bad. It is painful. Does not seem to tell between single finger behavior (simple move) and double finger (scroll).
If I boot with the iso burned with mx usb maker (full feature) the touchpad device was not found at all.
By the way, to see the special MX otptions at boot screen I had to configure the uefi/bios (??) to "Legacy first".
netbook specs (QSI worked fine for me):
If you try to close a window on a modified and unsaved document on a non qt app some apps like libreoffice or mousepad, in the dialog that opens up asking you to Save, Don't save or Cancel, you cannot tell which option is selected because no one is highlighted. Only if you hover with the mouse a super tiny blue frame is barely seen. (if you don't have a mouse or want to use keybard this is not good). (Though this is a kde problem, I think, not MX)
Although they have launchers in the panel, I would add dolphin and firefox to start menu's favorites section.
May be it would be a good choice to use Icons only task bar and grouped applications instead of labelled buttons with no grouping (as Mint did) to take advantage of this kde feature and thus offer a WS7/10-like desktop experience (I don't mean this is better, just say that would feel more familiar to a lot of people). EDIT: I now see that the current widget has already an auto smart grouping feature. That's great. (as I said, I'm not used to kde)
I would also add some shortcuts to defaults like Show desktop or switch to adjacents (up/down) workspaces.
On my main drive (2009 dual core compaq cq40) the iso did not boot. Neither the multisystem nor the mx-maker one.

Today I checked the beta kde 19.2, I can connect network through wire, but no wifi detected. I checked there is no wifi button side to airplane radio button of network notification.

Could you post your qsi, Auro?
Also, did you check the checksums of the downloaded iso?
In your last line, are you saying there is no icon in the panel for WiFi/network Connection?
