I'm really enjoying working with the wbar animated dock on fluxbox today. Are there any downsides to it? I notice the cpu usage jumps up a bit when I use the animation, but the rest of the time it idles at zero. It doesn't have near as much pinpoint control of placement on the screen as the idesk icons, so I could see that could be a problem in some cases.

Today's screenshot of my MX Fluxbox 2.1 - without docks and desktop icons.
Don't get me wrong, dockmaker and idesktool are really nice apps - but icons just are not my thing; I rather prefer textual visualization where possible.

The GUI is a yad script by Misko_2083, that I found on Bunsenlabs forum: https://forums.bunsenlabs.org/viewtopic.php?id=4099
Made some alterations for myself, mainly to point to correct path of stations file, dimensions etc. Application icon is my doing too.

Now have "fbmenugen" working on MX-Fluxbox...
fbmenugen generates a (semi-)dynamic application menu, on basis of *.desktop files in /usr/share/applications & ~/.local/applications directory.
scrot or it did not happen:

@ceeslans sorry that I missed this earlier. Could you post a how-to in a separate thread about getting fbmenugen to work?

Bonsoir,

@titoux merci d'avoir posté vos captures d'écran !

@titoux thanks for posting your screen captures!
please note there is also a french MX forum, where you can post your MX related messages.
you could have your message translated in an online translation engine, like Deeple and then post your text in both french and english
If your topic is related to MX-Fluxbox, then please do continue to post here in the Fluxbox section. I would be interested to see the further development of your Fluxbox desktop (as I think other people do too)

I didn't know Deepl, but I'll use this translation engine to post here (and elsewhere if needed). Thanks for advising me.

Yes, I had seen that there was a French section, very generalist. I'll visit it too.

See you soon. Thank you for your help.
