another linux newbie/ frustrated musician here trying to set up some recording software.
I installed MX 19 a little while back, and am really liking it as an operating system. Some years ago I had used kxstudio and thought that mostly it worked very well and have followed some of the posts here but am still not finding a way to add the kxstudio repos to mx19.
I'm still struggling to learn to work in a terminal; so I'm hoping that someone can give me some clear instructions on a) where to find the repositories and b) how to add and install them.
Thanks

So it looks like all the information you are asking for is right herephaslem wrote: Thu Mar 19, 2020 12:53 pm I'm still struggling to learn to work in a terminal; so I'm hoping that someone can give me some clear instructions on a) where to find the repositories and b) how to add and install them.
https://kx.studio/Repositories
I would read this page BEFORE you do the next step either way looks like it has the basic stuff covered with additional links too
a) BUT it looks like the developer of KXStudio actually made a package you can install and it will do all the hard work for you.
https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-debian/ ... .3_all.deb
Once you download the .deb file above > Right Click it > in the menu towards the bottom > select "Install Deb Files"
b) Then you should be able to find the packages and choose which ones to install using Synaptic (in Whisker menu).
The developer states at the first link I gave you:
Hope that answers the majority of the things you need, if not someone with KXStudio experience hopefully sees this thread creep back up to the top soon.Once you have the repos installed, you can either manually install individual packages from them or add the meta-packages to automatically install large sets of recommended packages.
See the Meta-Packages page for more details.
In either case, we always recommend to install the kxstudio-default-settings package after enabling the repositories.
