My old nvidea doesn't work in 19.1
My old nvidea doesn't work in 19.1 so I assume it is using the default but I am getting screen tear and lockup when attempting to use several different apps. The most recent was conky manager. When it does the screen tear it locks up and requires a reboot. Will the suggestion by Rose fix that?. Thanks

Re: RECENT KERNEL UPGRADE BROKE NVIDIA GRAPHICS -- SOLUTION
As your question is off topic, having nothing to do with last year's kernel update for Debian Stretch. kindly start your own new topic rather than necroposting. Thanks.JBoman wrote: Mon Mar 02, 2020 5:07 pm My old nvidea doesn't work in 19.1 so I assume it is using the default but I am getting screen tear and lockup when attempting to use several different apps. (BTW a search of the user manual, wiki and forum for "tearing" will probably give you a solution without your having to ask for it n the forum.)

Re: My old nvidea doesn't work in 19.1
It may be that the card requires the 304xx legacy driver, which indeed does not work with Buster's xorg in MX 19, but what did the MX Nvidia Installer say?
