When I 1st got into computers. I was a tweaker < showing others how it is done > . Now I roll with with just few tweaks. Choice 2. Seems to be the popular one.

I provide tons of such info here and on my site. Generally the interest level on MX, in detailed command line work, is lower than on other forums I frequent where interest is often much higher. You can see all my writings and guides here:

Mine is usually #3 "I heavily customize my environment(s) to suit my needs" depending on the distro. I usually change out the theme, icons, boarder, start up sound, maybe change the Conky or add Conky, might add and remove some programs, and change the DPI.
I am command line illiterate. I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list.

I chose the "Vanilla" option. But I do usually change the wallpaper and add a couple of icons/launchers. But I mostly use what is already setup. I like both antiX and MX a lot and don't see the need to change them much.

MX21-64 XFCE & W11 on Lenovo 330S LT. MX21-KDE & MX21-XFCE on Live USB.
MX18-64 & W7, Fedora on HP Core2 DT
MX21-32 XFCE w/ MX-Fluxbox on P4HT DT w/ antiX21, SUSE Tumbleweed, Q4OS, WXP
antiX21 on Compaq PIII 1 Ghz DT, w/ Debian, MX18FB, W2K
