[solved] Evolution Flatpak default email

#1 Post by Rudy_Kaos »

The most current version of Evolution email in the repos was a flatpak and all went fine, however I can not seem to set it as my default email client. Heck, I can't even find it on my system, the only clue I have is the properties of the launcher.

I couldn't find anything on the forums and I've read a lot of flatpak and MX documentation but I can't chase this one down. I want Evolution to be the default email app and to be able to click on a mail link in my browsers and have it open the client but I can't figure this on out. I had it working with the older version of Evolution.

Code: Select all

/usr/bin/flatpak run --branch=stable --arch=x86_64 --command=evolution --file-forwarding org.gnome.Evolution @@u %U @@

Fixed the problem, I just uninstalled the flatpak and reinstalled the old version of Evolution. I hate flatpaks, never use them and this was my first and last time using them.
