I'm using Firefox 72.0.1 on MX (my preferred distro) following a recent update.
It works fine for most of my sites, but I have a Library membership which requires authentication (Membership Nr. / PIN)
This has worked without issue on previous versions of FF under MX.
However following the update to 72.0.1 the site now rejects my login. The site responds with some mumbo-jumbo about cookies being enabled, but that isn't the issue - these are all stock configurations.
I can login on Mint XFCE (FF71.0)
I can login on MX (Chrome) - just installed this as a trial - it will be deleted as soon as possible.
I can login on Windows 10 (Edge)
Question: Am I alone or is there an issue with the FF update?
I've tried allowing FF not to block anything at all (including cookies) but it makes no difference.
Chrome works so it doesn't appear to be a background MX issue.
What am I missing???

No problems with it here.
Do you have any Add-ons? If so, restart with them disabled (from the Help menu), and see if you can login from there.

Hi chrispop99,
Mi install is stock with no add-ons, but I tried your suggestion in any case.
Regrettably it gives the same result.
I'll look into trying to regress the version of FF to see if it really is an issue with the later version.

Re: Firefox 72.0.1 (64 bit) issue
I would try clearing the cache, and finding and deleting any existing cookies for the library. Quite possible that there's some corrupt old login data in the cache or a corrupt old cookie still in place from the library which needs to be cleared out.
Yes, this sort of login error does happen to me occasionally. I don't think it's browser specific - the same thing can happen on a Chromium-based browser.
