Buster+Kde+Bare-Bones+2020.1.iso

Happy New 2020, y'all ... :happybday:

Buster+Kde+Bare-Bones+2020 is a real fast beautiful standalone Respin

It-Is-Bullet-Proof - we tried to break it - we could not - it has, we believe, quite frankly, overtaken MX-18, in a very, very short time span Kudos To The Developers - they did a magnificent job in a very short time.
Despite Igor's protestations!! Plus its only 1.1GB

Buster+Kde+Bare-Bones+2020.1.iso

This is our 1st Respin of Bare-Bones-Kde using an excellent, stable rebuild of MX19[BUSTER] as a base – this baby is equally as lean & mean as the previous rebuilds - it contains the basic OS, including a bunch of great MX Tools, as well as Audacious Music Player .. everything works, as advertised

There are so many choices in the various repos, that we decided to strip everything out, let the owner decide which browser - there are 11x browsers to choose from, with Konqueror already installed, plus there are 5x repos, several email client, 10x office applications, another 10x kernels to choose from, plus tons of games + Steam, etc .. the list goes on. plus its all Up-To-Date as of Jan 1st 2020 .. the choices are mind-boggling

Tap your mouse wheel, and roll it .. KDE is active, so is the music – as before the 'jack' a/c is already activated – same with Audacious – simply adjust volume sliders, etc....enjoy CSN&Y

Y'all might want to use this iso as a base for building your very own O/S
There are oodles of great apps to choose from - check MX Tools, MX Package Installer, browse thru everything

Once again - kudos to the A Team - the best Dev Team in the World .. :number1:

Highest Regards

Jack

PS - its the iso with '2020' in it

Simply smashing!
Thank you .. :celebrate:

KDE logs in automagically - right-click on desktop, hit Settings, hit KDE System Settings, Account User,
User Manager ... add new user, etc
Leave jack in-situ .. good backup should you wreck your new user, or get locked out of of Plasma
New user would have zero gingerbread - have fun

We have never been able to break KDE on MX18/19 ... again, Kudos to the Dev Team .. :number1:
Cannot say the say for other O/S, even Debian respins/rebuilds/remixes

Code: Select all

sudo minstall
jack/jack
root/root

Enjoy

Highest Regards

Jack

Greetings Asqwerth,

Would consider that an absolute compliment - thank you .. :crossfingers:
Its because of the sheer-genius, and due-diligence of the Developers Team, that us
mere mortals get to mess around, have a lot of fun - again, a very big thank you

Is there something that needs to be done to enable wireless network? If not, then it is not working.

Michael

No WiFi here, either. Any ideas how to fix it?

Otherwise, it looks promising.

When I changed from Xfce to Gnome had same problem. It was solved with network-manager and firmware... packages (don't remember which one).
