@all:
I have some vCard files here and would like to merge them into one. Amazingly it seems to be difficult to find a simple tool that can do this.
Any ideas?
A tool with a GUI would be preferred. Console applications would be second choice, command line would be third choice.
Greetings, and thanks in advance for any hint, Joe
MX-18.1: Simple (GUI-based) tool for merging vCard ("VCF") files?

@spanizdogs:
Thanks, there's some somewhat useful match among these.

Thanks, there's some somewhat useful match among these.
Short comments on the links:
PIMSort: "Status: Beta", version number: 0.1, source code only, no website, apparently from 2008 -> not too useful.
vcardtools: Description: "Automatically fix, split, normalize, group and merge/deduplicate vCard and VCF files (even large ones).". Restrictions: "... outputs only vCard 3.0 format", "accept[s only] 2.1 and 3.0 vCard format", not in MX-18.1's (Debian's) repos -> of some use.
MoreFunctionsForAddressBook: Works only in combination with Thunderbird, only beta version available for Thunderbird versions > 2.0. -> not too useful.

@spanizdogs:
Bottom line would be that it would make sense to (at least) have vcardtools available in the MX Test Repo - at least until some GUI solution is available.
Maybe you'd like to file a package request for vcardtools?
