I took it for a spin as a live USB. Very nice and well done. Everything I tried works. The only thing I had to do for my hdpi screen is increase the font size and force a higher dpi. But that needs to be done for the default XFCE as well.

What happens if you install it, given grub?

She means will it show properly in the boot menu. I installed grub to the PBR so my default would still control booting. and then did an update-grub in my default MX 19 install and it picked up the KDE install.

I wager I need more knowledge of grub here to know what to pick haha. I was taught to select ESP (it should be auto ticked on my system).

Needs more investigating in any case on my part that has nothing to do with this respin. Congrats on making it!

oooh i get you now....you just need to install same way as the official version since the partitioning is same regardless of the DE depending on whether you decide on MBR or GPT Partition.
