[SOLVED] Kronos stays on "Loading the libraries.." screen under MXLinux 19  [Solved]

#1 Post by mxlinuxUSA »

Hello. While accessing my company scheduling system under Kronos using MXLinux 19, the screen just stays on "Loading the libraries.." and the white dot just goes back and forth as it tries to go to the next screen. It went past the loading libraries screen just fine under MX 18.3. Flash is enabled, and I used the same settings as 18.3 and disabled all extra plugins. It seems to be something in 19 that is blocking some necessary libraries from loading, as everything was fine under 18.3. System info below:

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not seeing kronos in any of MX's software repositories. Can you tell us where you got it, and also post the results of

Code: Select all

inxi -r
wrapped inside of [code] [/code] BBcode tags?

It's a fairly frequent complaint for users accessing the Kronos online scheduling service. Kronos appears to be picky about which web browser you use to access it, so possibly the update to MX19 resulted in an updated browser that's not preferred by Kronos. You may have to roll back your browser to whatever you were using with MX18.3. Are you using Chrome to access it? I believe Chrome is the browser they are currently recommending.

Also they recommend that users clear their browser cache if you run into this problem.

They have a lot of advice in their community support forum - if you have a forum login, it might be worth searching for "loading libraries screen" or similar. I do not currently have a login, or I would help you search their forum.

It appears that Kronos is some sort of commercial HR software so there should be support available from them if andyprough's suggestion doesn't help.

We use Kronos here, and I have had no trouble using Debian machines with Chromium with Flash with it. I have to allow Flash every time I login to submit a timesheet, but that is the only issue.

Thanks for all the helpful replies. I was using the latest Firefox and installed Chromium which resolved the issue. I'll have to use Chromium for anything Kronos-related. Thanks again!
