Howto convert emails from Outlook to Thunderbird

What is easiest/cheapest way to convert emails from Outlook 2003 (pst) to Thunderbird (mbox)? I found many tools to do this but is there any totally free of cost?

Thanks JayM for your link. I managed to to it! First I imported pst-file to Evolution. Then I used this tool:
