Remove Ofono ? [solved]

#1 Post by fiuewpg,vc »

I'm running antiX-19 on a Thinkpad T420.
The bluetooth on my machine doesn't work at all so i turned the bluetooth service off in the "Choose Startup Services" app.
Can I do the same with Ofono if I'm not going to do any mobile telephony? It seemed to take ages to switch off at shutdown. Or is it somehow essential to other parts of the system?
:snail:
thankyou for any tips...

You can remove it if you wish.

It's not needed for internet connectivity or anything like that?

Btw I am really enjoying using the distro. Should/can I let you know if I come across any bugs?

Ofono is only needed for mobile telephony devices, so it is not needed by most users.

Post any bugs here or over at bugzilla.
