Just booted up a Live MX-19 USB Flash Drive with everything running from a fresh download and everything at its default setting. I noticed in Thunderbird > Preferences > General categories that the window that is suppose to appear to the left of the Browse button for the "Use the following sound file" does not appear correctly. There are only a few pixels of this window on the left and right sides with nothing in-between. The same anomaly appears in the Chat category of this Preferences window.
This window correctly appears in MX-18.3.
Edit: Okay, I selected an audio file which displays in the empty space, there just won't be a window for it.
I did not try to put a file there so I don't know if this window would appear with an audio file selected.MX-19 Feedback

Re: MX-19 Feedback
Just trying out MX-19 tonight, so far so good. Everything is working nicely and as expected. I recommend MX to everyone who asks me what Linux is best/what Linux I use because out of all the distros I have ever tried, MX has been the most stable, the easiest to use, and everything works so well. Not to mention how well it runs on slower hardware. I will be trying to figure out a way I can contribute more to the MX project because I am in love. I want to see MX continue on in the future. Thank you all for all you do.
Re: MX-19 Feedback
I deleted the two files I copied over from PCLOS, and tried to install the Ubuntu deb you pointed to. Exactly the same thing as before, refused to install. SP_Flash_Tool refused to run. And, forgot to mention before, GDebi froze. Put the two files back and all was well again.Jerry3904 wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2019 5:33 pm Doesn't look like it is anywhere, but there are solutions on the web such as this you might try:

I don't know whether you could locate the source of those files (that I used) so that they could be packaged?
One of the best things about running two great but very different distros on parallel root partitions, is that they cover each others' arses pretty well!

Re: MX-19 Feedback
I just created a profile in the advanced settings and it worked right away.Jerry3904 wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2019 5:39 pm Hooray. Can you please give us some specifics about how you did that and what the result was exactly?
Re: MX-19 Feedback
Fully upgraded RC1 installed on Thinkpad X220 (I didn't have time to reinstall before travelling). One oddity on installation - panel showed only one workspace, although when I went to change it to 4 settings showed 2 set.
Everything works as expected although I don't push this machine - it's strictly for the two or three occasions a year when I'm travelling. Using existing profile with Thunderbird. Installed Lightning but later version of Thunderbird/Lightning didn't recognise calendars - easily solved with a reset.
One slight display problem - I have 3 apps open - Thunar, Thunderbird & Opera. The icon for Thunar doesn't show in the panel - it's almost the same as the background.

Re: MX-19 Feedback
I installed mx19 final as my main os today. everything is running fine except some minor visual glitches/bugs mainly in notification area :
1- some shapeshifting pixels around notification area icons appear sometimes, randomly :

2- virtualbox looks like this on all dark themes:(light themes are looking ok)

Re: MX-19 Feedback
I am running mx19 in frugal mode, I have ecryptfs folders mountable manually so it was a bit scary to see my scripts fail because ecryptfs has been booted off debian (apparently pulled because of a systemd compatibility issue... systemd “never finished, never complete, but tracking progress of technology” actually means "linux is too stable compatible and documented, we would rather get back to the windows days of planned obsolescence for hw and sw").
But the ecryptfs module is still built for the kernel, so just get the source debs from the sid source package (v. 111-4), and debuild, seems to work all right.

Re: MX-19 Feedback
Same for me. Seems only when the panel is horizontal. And only for the update notifier. (Apt-notifier.py)
First comes an icon of whatever is next to the update notifier. (next to on the right)
Then the correct icon appears, but doesn't quite cover the first icon.
You can see in the pic if I put the CRSR over the part of the icon that still shows it thinks it's the volume icon.
