Hello,
I installed it on my laptop HP Envy 17 the new one MX-19 Release Candidate 1 and i have a problem with brightness.
On Current release: MX-18.3 everything works.
Maybe someone should check and fix it.
Until fix i stay on the stable old one MX-18.3. :lion:

You could start with MX Tools - quick system info :) That will help us know more about your computer.

Normally, one of these takes care of that problem:

--dedicated key on laptop (mine is Fn-F5)
--Color Profiles (select one that works)
Production: 5.10, MX-23 Xfce, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 16 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB
Personal: Lenovo X1 Carbon with MX-23 Fluxbox
Other: Raspberry Pi 5 with MX-23 Xfce Raspberry Pi Respin

Just installed Launchy and it can't seem to find any files even after "rebuild catalog".
Anyone else have this issue?

I installed it, logged out and back in, clicked "Rescan catalog" on the Options tab--and it found 196 entries. It worked sometimes... It found GIMP but not galculator, for instance.

EDIT: no, I just mispelled galculator the first time. :duh: Seems to work fine now.

The update was also held back if MX-updater was used.

Using Synaptic tells me the chroot-rescue will be removed and replaced by chroot-rescue-mx. Is that ok?

I'm puzzled because I used the "full-upgrade" command in terminal, which is supposed to accept removal of packages and installation of new ones, right?
the removal of chroot-resuce in place of chroot-rescue-mx is OK.

  • In VB 6.0 (and, also noticed in Beta 3 (I think))
  • With the panel in "horizontal" mode at the top of the screen
  • With or without the "Dont' reserve space on borders" item selected in the "Display" tab of the panel properties dialog
Any window that is expanded to full size will fill the screen with the window title bar hidden under the panel. To re-size the window, have to use the <Alt>-<Right_CLick> trick.

Further, the first default icon on the desktop (Manual) is partially obscured (covered) by the panel.

Is this intended behavior? Can this behavior be changed and I've yet to find the how-to to accomplish it?
