I can confirm the same issue, and can confirm that no matter how many times you try, it fails the same way! ;-) Am currently running it with the updated template file that just came over the updater, using a 15gb home+root partitions, and can report now ..... SUCCESS PAST THAT ERROR ANYWAY ....@BitJam...Just replicated snapshot problem here, too...same error, FAILURE : Cannot find in ISO image: -boot_image ... bin_path='/boot/isolinux/isolinux.bin'

Yes. That has fixed it, the 19.10.03 versionnathan2423 wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2019 8:50 pmI can confirm the same issue, and can confirm that no matter how many times you try, it fails the same way! ;-) Am currently running it with the updated template file that just came over the updater, using a 15gb home+root partitions, and can report now ..... Re: MX-19 RC1 Feedback thread
I found a small improvement in my dual monitor setup, which was detected automatically, but required a couple of reboots and ARandR adjustments, whereby I think having defaults settings backed up finally locked in the monitors to correct arrangement (left-right as physically positioned, rather than hardware default that reversed arrangement on start-up.)
Screenshot also works better, no longer including an artifact of slightly different display proportions.
I did encounter an old issue common sometimes arising after installs of past versions of MX, that being Disk Manager not correctly recognising a NTFS, meaning that partition requires root access to write:
So I changed the Type to NTFS- 3g to resolve. I expect this will be a simple fix that is confirmed upon restarting the system
Trying to cheat a bit with Grub Customizer no longer works! I will need to reconsider how I approach editing Grub menus and study the fine print again. I have manually edited earlier Grub menus so should cope.
It doesn't bother me if I need to install MX-19 again when actually released
I quite like the font viewer inclusion and shall revisit some font collection to both explore and add. I can skip Waterfall, which I sometimes add for publishing needs.
Thank you to all contributing to this fine edition of MX and the hard work involved in getting translations and other detail polished up and included for eventual release, remarkably efficiently I should add.

EDIT: Ignore below...booted USB snapshot drive successfully with boot option "xorg=nvidia" thanks to Eadwine Rose...
After recent Snapshot fix...ran some more tests
Spoke too soon, I guess. We may have a problem with the content of the Snapshot...maybe stuff missing...here's what happened
Ran Snapshot...used LUM to burn flashdrive....booted flashdrive (UEFI without persistence)....
- Terminal login prompt
- No X
- No nvidia driver
- No nouveau driver
- Tried installing nvidia as root "ddm-mx -i nvidia"...but ddm-mx indicated that nvidia driver was installed but not active...selected re-install...but no network available
- Then tried booting in 1024x768...vesa...no good

Re: MX-19 RC1 Feedback thread
Try booting the snapshot with an edited grub. Add this:
xorg=nvidia
see if that helps. It won't boot to a desktop for me otherwise (and that is snapshot made in 18.3).

Re: MX-19 RC1 Feedback thread
Great!! You can thank DO for that one, he helped me out with it back when and gave me that little boot option.

Re: MX-19 RC1 Feedback thread
I"m having a weird message when I try to upgrade:
The update was also held back if MX-updater was used.
Using Synaptic tells me the chroot-rescue will be removed and replaced by chroot-rescue-mx. Is that ok?
I'm puzzled because I used the "full-upgrade" command in terminal, which is supposed to accept removal of packages and installation of new ones, right?
