Re: MX-19 RC1 Feedback thread
from the beta 3 release announcement:
So you will get the updates but it will forever report itself as beta. The beta will receive updates over time through the repositories, but certain items, such as the live system and some user settings defaults, will not be obvious without some user intervention. Beta isos will always report themselves as beta versions in quick-system-info and inxi.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I don't mind inxi reporting as beta. But what do you mean by "some user settings defaults" ?? Can you elaborate please?

Ok. Understood.
Re: MX-19 RC1 Feedback thread
sorry for sticking my oar in the water; but i believe one of the devs said to me when i asked it a while ago that there may be themes that may exist in beta but may not be in stable and various aspects like that so transferring that all over won;t be 100%. you may need to add and tweak or hope that certain things work. maybe i can find the thread.

Thank you developers for this wonderful distribution! I've been with MX Linux for almost a year and love it.
About MX-19 RC1: is it possible to upload a torrent for the new iso? The link provided is too slow (15-20 kb/s).
Much appreciated, and thank you again!

Only a few hours in but all seems well so far. I usually use the Adwaita-dark theme which is working fine but I can't seem to find the Adwaita-dark WM theme that was downloadable via MXPI previously. Has it been removed?

Add a package request in the appropriate sub-forum for MX19.vtvbreech wrote: Wed Oct 16, 2019 2:30 pm Only a few hours in but all seems well so far. Adwaita dark never came with a proper WM theme. The latter was specially extracted and packaged for MX18 from a 3rd party gtk theme called adwaita-xfce-dark which is no longer maintained, but which WM theme still works for XFCE.

Thank you, been waiting for this. This release is good. As a Gnome user everything looks fine and related packages are there. In beta "Gnome on Xorg" was missing. Good to know this RC will be updated to final.
