The RC will receive updates over time through the repositories. The RC WILL update to Final via the normal update process.
So next release will be Final? ;)

Is tumblerd monitor part of a package? My experience with tumblerd monitor in fully up to date beta 2.1 is that it doesn't work. Tumblerd won't quit until I close Thunar. So 50 % CPU activity until Thunar is closed.

It also seems that Xfce Task Manager reports wrong values for processes. Overall CPU activity is reported as 50 % (both in Task Manger and CPU Graph panel plugin), but top two processes in Task Manager are tumblerd with 2-3 % each.
Note to self and others: SysVinit is a good option. However if you run into problems try with systemd first. This applies to AppImages, Flatpaks, GitHub packages and even some Debian packages.

dreamer,

Me to. This is NOT a RC issue, I had a lock-up (with new RAM sticks) where tumblerd was pegging one CPU to 100%, had to kill it in top.

Then I could down load the RC...so hopefully tonight will burn the RC and install for testing.

17" laptop with 1600x900 106 dpi display.
qpdfview Settings window is almost taller than the display and not resizeable.
I can only see the top part of the 3 buttons at the bottom of the window.

Additional info: I should have stated this happened with the panel on the bottom set to 30 pixels high and the Appearance custom DPI set to 106 to match the display.

I just made a very quick check. I booted up to a Live instance of MX-19 RC1 from a Flash Drive and put the Panel horizontal on the bottom of the screen. I noticed there is a red line to the right of the unmount icon, but don't remember if that line was there when the panel was vertical before I made it horizontal.
Screenshot.png
This red line disappeared about a minute later, but don't remember if it disappeared before or after I clicked on the unmount icon, which just showed the Flash Drive I used to boot up.

I connected another Flash Drive that Thunar recognized, thinking that the line indicated something was mounted, but no red line appeared.

I booted up again with the same Flash Drive, but this time the red line never appeared.

What is that red line supposed to indicate?

The red line signifies nothing. It is just an artifact that sometimes appears in the notification area. The reason is not really known as far as I know. Refreshing the panel wilt sometimes remove it.
