Re: Add KX Studio Repositories
Should be fine. falktx the developer of KX had an extended break this year but I hear he's back on board now.
I used KX repos for my MXStudio respin and found no issues so far and AVLinux uses them too.

Re: Add KX Studio Repositories
Well, sorry, I tried to install the repositories following the KX Studio indications but I have a problem with dependencies, libc6:
https://kx.studio/Repositories
dpkg: acerca de kxstudio-repos_10.0.2_all.deb que contiene kxstudio-repos, problema de predependencia:
kxstudio-repos predepende de libc6 (>= 2.27~)
libc6:amd64 está instalado, pero tiene versión 2.24-11+deb9u4.

Re: Add KX Studio Repositories
From the FAQ page on the MX Website:
This goes for adding repositories as well. To request new or updated software packages be added to the MX Repositories, please read these instructions. then post your request here. Meanwhile I strongly suggest that you remove the repository you added before the MX Update tool pulls in who knows what from it and breaks your MX installation. Can I use Ubuntu PPAs?
Ubuntu is not Debian, so installing PPAs will likely cause problems. See this for more details: https://mxlinux.org/wiki/system/add-ppa-repository
Solution: Go to the request forum for your MX version, under Community Repository (CR), and ask our Packaging Devs if the PPA can be be ported or updated for our own repository

Libc6 is in synaptic or you can download the .deb from here: https://pkgs.org/download/libc6

Re: Add KX Studio Repositories
Following this advice to continue installing things you find on the internet and/or download .deb files and install them WILL break your system sooner or later. I've seen it before. Let the MX Packagers package the app or apps that you want for MX then install it from the MX repos with MX Package Installer.darknetmatrix wrote: Sun Oct 13, 2019 4:45 am Libc6 is in synaptic or you can download the .deb from here: https://pkgs.org/download/libc6

@JayM: do you really think that https://kx.studio/Repositories is not to be trusted? (Note this is not a criticism but a learning phase)

Re: Add KX Studio Repositories
Do a search of this forum for KXStudio.
I seem to recall some instructions or information relating Debian-based, not Ubuntu-based repo for this.
I suspect you need to make sure you choose a repo that is compatible with DEbian Stretch. The libc6 version differences seem quite indicative to me of a Ubuntu repo that is not quite compatible with Debian Stretch.
