Yes, if you hide one item, the icon under the updater goes. However, the next time you log in, whatever is to the right of the updater is still duplicated under the updater.

Yep.. I go click click and it's sorted. Hopefully someone somewhere will find the bug :)

I would like to you to adjusting the vblank parameter on the compositor tab of MX-Tweak and see if there is any improvement.

Not really a major issue, just annoying, and could be my setup only, but...

Desktop hooked to a 40” Samsung TV, every time the TV goes to sleep and powers off and I turn it back on, the Display - Configure screen settings and layout window pops up. It’s happened 8 times now.

Can some else verify this happens to them?

doesn't surprise me necassirly with at TV, but you can use the Display settings app to turn off the "launch when connected" feature. I forget the exact name.

If you set the N/A to 'Square icons' it doesn't seem to happen, at least with limited testing.

Cgris

Unfortunately it still does.. differently though. When I collapse and fold out here is what happens:

Note the spot where the bluetooth icon used to be, has a leftover in the folded out version. Same with the Synaptic icon and the Unmounter one.

Changed the icons back to the default with 24 size. Hovering over them puts the popup in a weird spot. Only Synaptic with the updates text goes above, the rest goes below where one cannot read what it says.

Chose a light background to make this clearer. Hovered the mouse on Unmounter:

Thanks, I’ll try and hunt that down then. I just don’t remember it ever doing that before.

Using Xfwm compositor here. Testing if things get sorted in the notification area:

glx doesn't sort it
xpresent doesn't sort it
neither does vblank set to off

It remains the same regardless of the Vblank setting used.

Defaults for the display app changed on beta 3.
