So sorry for misunderstanding. Now I have Installed (and not only tested) MxLinux beta 19.3. My bluetooth devices are shown and paired. I regarded Live distribution as enough to observe. It was a mistake.

Sorry, late to the party.

On my beta 2.1 I had two crashes, black screen, no mouse of KB response.
I went back to the stable MX 18.3, and ran 10 days with no crash, and saw the beta 3 announcement, so did the drill.

Download, md5 is good, burn to a USB and boot it. Live looks good, so install.
Per the instructions, did all synaptic updates, then did the nvidia install with the MX tools. All worked well after the reboot, except, like in the beta 2.1, after installing the nvidia, I get a 1 sec stall in the boot, as it says KVM: disabled in BIOS, the error repeats maybe 15 times, then boot proceeds normally.

So, then do all the customizations, firefox tweaks, sound card select, enable the data disk with disk manager, conky tweaks, wall paper, install 130 packages (includes all the dependencies), enable compton compositing, tweak the panel, clocks etc.

All running well, about 0.5G RAM upon a fresh boot. I left the system run last night with firefox, a terminal, and clementine open.

But came down this morning to find the blue squares screen saver locked and frozen, mouse and keyboard would not wake it. Ctrl-Alt-backspace did not work. REISUB worked, and shut the machine down.

So, no idea what caused the crash. I disabled the screen saver, so let's see if that was the cause.

@entropyfoe, FYI...I have a very similar system (see sig)...and have enabled KVM in the UEFI/BIOS firmware with no problems...

Paul,

Thanks for the comment. I saw the error, and looked in the BIOS, and I see no way to enable or disable KVM.
My BIOS has no mention of virtual machines. What section (tab) of the BIOS do you find that option?

I boot rarely, so I would not see that error much, I suspend and wake for weeks, so a cold boot is not common for this system, except when I get these crashes....

It is in Advanced->CPU Config->SVM Mode (set to Enable)

Just one little thing - there was a topic earlier about inline terminal prompt and mentioned brainstorming on
making it default... I personally would like to see it inline in final release of MX, as many other I suppose :)
