Re: MX-19 Beta 3 Feedback
On my CF-U1 running off the live MX-19b3_386.
No sound issues. Select sound card, apply and click the 'Test sound card' button.
Have not had a chance to do much testing on the U1. Will do more tm.
All in all, MX-19b3 works well on all the different units I have, other than my X301 ThinkPad. I have not tested it yet as it is busy atm.

Running the 32bit Live on the Thinkpad T60 (which I love). Get a very weird color problem in the panel that no one has reported yet, image attached. Am about to install, will edit this once I see it.

Re: MX-19 Beta 3 Feedback
I described that issue in post #62. Looks identical to what I see. Thanks for verifying that it is an issue in MX-19b3 and not my units.Jerry3904 wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 7:32 pm Running the 32bit Live on the Thinkpad T60 (which I love). Re: MX-19 Beta 3 Feedback
Did you identify the update that caused it? My installs have been based on MX 17 so I have never seen it until I installed MX 19. This can be bad news for antiX and Devuan too. I uninstalled Plymouth in MX 19 but it didn't help.dolphin_oracle wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 6:59 pmits nothing new...same happens mx18.dreamer wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 5:56 pm I wonder about the sysvinit/LightDM restart/shut down bug.

Note to self and others: SysVinit is a good option. However if you run into problems try with systemd first. This applies to AppImages, Flatpaks, GitHub packages and even some Debian packages.

probably consolekit, which is no longer installable at the same time as systemd and/or policykit. but that's a guess.dreamer wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:42 pmDid you identify the update that caused it? Re: MX-19 Beta 3 Feedback
I looked at MX-19 beta 3 in live sessions from a flash drive, on two different computers. Didn't do much tweaking; mostly just exploring. No problems to report. Looks like this is gonna be another nice MX release!

The new icons in MX tools look great; nice and sharp and really sweet color combinations.

Is this the reappearance of the login screen before system shutdown/reboot?dolphin_oracle wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 10:02 pmprobably consolekit, which is no longer installable at the same time as systemd and/or policykit. but that's a guess.dreamer wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 9:42 pmDid you identify the update that caused it? antix doesn't use lightdm.
If so, it doesn't happen to me in 18.3, fully updated install.
If you mean the very brief appearance of a grey screen, yeah that does happen, but it's very short (much shorter than that login screen), like half a second or so.
