So my praoblem: I have tried 3 separate times to set /home on a different partition on what is still listed as my Personal machine in the Sig. Re: MX-19 Beta 3 Feedback
Here is what happens when I start my tv using tvtime.
Sound is working fine system wide, SAVE for tvtime/tv card which uses the alsa plugin.
This is what you see in the config playback screen. That alsa entry is appearing and disappearing really fast, just like those lines in the terminal. Sound is sounding a bit like brrrrrrr Tried this adjusted to my system, person describes what is going on with this at the three dots listed:
https://thehumble.ninja/2014/02/06/fixi ... ur-system/
Leaves me with no config at all in pulseaudio still, so that is not a good thing. I wager I am doing something wrong. Not a clue what.
If I need to start a separate thread, let me know.

You can use Synaptic to uninstall them, but you do not need to in order to install Waterfox, there have been changes made in where Waterfox keeps its files and they no longer conflict with Firefox.jackdanielsesq wrote: Sat Oct 05, 2019 6:09 am Greetings once again
I might have asked this previously, but could not find it via search
How do I uninstall both FF69 & ESR so that I can install Waterfox
Regards
Jack
I have Firefox, Pale Moon and Waterfox all installed and working fine.
Re: MX-19 Beta 3 Feedback
I've been playing with hoovering the mouse over the Panel icons in MX 19-beta-3. All the testing is with the Panel set to the horizontal bottom position. Everything else is kept to default settings (e.g. Panel Preferences > "Row size (pixels):" size 35). I'm using a 21.5" 1920 x 1080 monitor. The problem is the tool tips windows on some of the Panel icons (specifically Speaker, Unmount, Monitor Brightness and Ethernet) will display below the bottom of the Panel, meaning it's off screen and cannot be read.
I found three workarounds to get tool tips windows to display correctly from the smallest setting (16px) and up.
In Panel Preferences > Display tab:
1. I enabled "Don't reserve space on borders".
2. I deselected "Don't reserve space on borders" (this is the default) and in "Automatically hide the panel:" I selected "Intelligently" and then tested "Always". Both of these settings restored proper tool tip windows positioning just like #1 above.

Clarification for users adding non-default applications. That does work for the default, (pre-installed) apps. Some Others added like copyQ, Slack will not show tool tips. They most likely do not have tool tips at all.
I did not have to hide the panel to see tool tips on the standard apps.
