Still can't move Conky via alt+left mouse click.
Conky won't show up on laptop and external monitor (even if set to show on both) but only (partially) on default.

Setup process via usb only showed up on laptop.
External monitor was out of order (not so with 18.3).
Was able to select external default monitor after installation.

Otherwise, things are looking good (even if i do miss a few of old background images) so far!

Unfortunately that's because MX Linux does not use systemd by default. It's irritating, but currently not fixable.

All the old wallpapers back to MX-15 are available to download via the Package Installer.

But after restart, they reappear. How do I fix it?

Hmm... waaaaay more faster startup with systemd then SysVinit...

Any thoughts on why this happens? If some log could help I can attach it.

If you don't want these to start, go to Settings>Session and Startup>Application Autostart tab, uncheck the Blueman and Clipit entries, then reboot.

If you just want to stop the icon showing, right-click the Notification Area and select properties, then check anything you want hidden.

Yes--and these aren't issues restricted to the beta, but just how XFCE handles things, and have been part and parcel of MX since its beginning.

After updating, the MX Nvidia Installer (ddm-mx) installed the 435.21 driver from Test smoothly.
Safe Video on the LiveUSB worked properly on this box from both UEFI & traditional boots. Not that I needed it - just testing.

I also get this screen for a sec before graphical login:

It appears on both default and on new Antix kernel, when booted with systemd.

Btw, nvidia from test repo works fine on Lenovo T510 with Optimus settings selected in BIOS (hybrid intel + nvidia mode).
