Oh to add: other sound works fine. I ran an audio check "front left-front right", that one. No crackles. Do still have to test VLC and such though.

don't know. there are some differences though, they bumped the abi on the kernel.

you could try killing pulseaudio and restarting it.

Code: Select all

pulseaudio -k
pulseaudio-start-x11
as user, not root.

start-pulseaudio-x11

(lowercase x...that's what I get for working from memory)

all this should do is restart pulseaudio.

That worked.. unfortunately still crackles real badly, so that isn't solving this. VLC sound is normal.

Tried changing kernels (went to liquorix) by suggestion of AK-47, but that thing stopped at the text screen with a plymouth error. It did tell me that Logitech was there. Thank you yes I know.

Attached the log and we'll see, there are other fish to fry in this ocean of a topic ;)

you can also drop back to the kernel on beta 2. linux-image-4.19.0-5-amd64 for instance. and the headers of course. that entry is not in mxpi->popular apps, so probably easier in synaptic.

Thanks :)

I would need some guidance on that, but I will ask AK-47 if he will help me with that on Slack. Don't want to hog the topic. At least we determined that the thing worked with the kernel that is on beta2.
