Interesting. Uninformed question then. Why when I checked Local Time during the install process the resulting install did not exhibit the problem?fehlix wrote: Sun Sep 08, 2019 9:10 pmusing locatime instead of UTC and resisting to change to UTC was somehow grown up in a suburb of that mentioned place.![]()

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
Is there any possibility that the new MX time & date app is interacting weirdly with the rest of the distro, thereby causing these issues in beta 2.1?
Just a completely non techie, off the shelf, thought .

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
MX Date & Time only runs when you run it, and will only change system settings when buttons are pushed. There are some known issues that are being worked on and should be fixed in an update soon.

Hi-
Looks very nice!
Don't know if this is intentional:
When the panels (transparent or not) are in "hidden" mode, they leave a white line on the screen where they are hidden.
and
Grub Customizer has to be installed manually.

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
Due to various issues caused by Grub Customiser, it will not be a default program on the MX iso. Its use is not recommended. Use MX Boot Options for the basic grub settings tweaks. If you still want to use Grub Customiser, you'll have to install it yourself.rej wrote: Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:06 am Hi-

Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
I tried the first beta and it would just not work. Put 18.3 back on, but wondering if it was worth it to try the next beta iteration?
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.

Only if you want to find bugs, report them, in the idea that bringing them to light might make it easier for devs to fix them. That's the purpose of betas.blindside wrote: Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:35 am I tried the first beta and it would just not work. Re: MX-19 Beta 2.1 Feedback
I would love to pitch in with any small way I could, and I know what a beta is. My thought on trying the newer beta is that it *just* might actually install on my machine. Like, is there anything that might have changed as far as it working with a brand new drive, and a brand new machine for the most part. It not being able to install was mind-boggling in the least.
