Did you log out and in again? That's the advice given in the XFCE page I quoted and linked to.

Yeah, I only tested with flatpak Lollypop.dolphin_oracle wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 1:32 pm...I can't speak for the flatpak stuff though. the arc themes in use are from debian's archive.asqwerth wrote: Sun Sep 01, 2019 10:41 am ...But in MX19 Beta, my flatpak app totally ignores my desktop's Arc theme, and shows up in the gnome default Adwaita (light) theme, which I really dislike.
In comparison, flatpak greybird theme is applied if I am using greybird on my desktop....
**edit*** testing with abiword flatpak, if the flatpaks themes for arc and arc-dark are installed, abiword follows the respective theme ok.
I'm now suspecting that because Lollypop is very actively updated, it's using a Gnome runtime so far in advance of the runtime version for the flatpak arc themes that they aren't really compatible.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
I have tested Beta 1. Everything works fine on my Dell Latitude E6500 although it is necessary to setup lot of thinks manually because GUI settings dialogs is unfunctional in couple of cases. For example region and language section is not working correctly yet. This is beta :-)

Do you have th region and language problem during installation, or after it is installed?

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
During installation the proper region was not set and I have to set it manually in installation. When change manually during install, the default region keyboard layout was not chosen. I had to do it after the boot manually.
Also settings GUI dialogs looks strange, so to set something up is a case with mixing the gui usage and terminal.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
So far, I have it installed on a Toshiba Chromebook 16GB eMMC, (presently no sound, not sure why just yet), an Acer AO722 320GB HDD & an Acer AO532 50GB SSD notebooks, plus running it from an 8GB SDHC card in my old Toshiba Satellite, all fitted with just 2GB ram.
Other than the Chromebook, everything seems to be working fine for what I use these machines for, mainly online browsing, forums, email, & playing music.
I did get the problem of the automount causing problems with one of the installs though, not sure why, I didn't do anything differently, as far as I can remember.
Definately looking good.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
Tried installing Budgie (all Budgie packages in the buster repo) and GNOME Tweaks, and then the theming broke and Budgie crashed on login from the second time forward...?
I really need to track down the logs.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
Doesn't Budgie have its own Budgie-desktop-settings tool now, forked from Gnome-tweaks?

Just downloaded and put on a removable USB stick. So far early testing is perfect. This hardware has always worked well with Debian, antiX, MEPIS, and MX Linux.
