But why? There is already a built-in way to switch user, and the additional icon does nothing at the moment as mx-switchuser is not installed. Should we not just remove the icon by unticking? Or am I missing something obvious here? (Entirely possible!)

Chris
Yeah I meant to change that to the xfce switcher. We are actaully overriding the default with out old settings. Will adjust

until the mx-cleanup missing file is resolved, you can use

Code: Select all

sudo apt dist-upgrade --ignore-missing
to upgrade any other package that is available for download.

Timeout error creating a new folder or file mx19 beta [SOLVED]

#325 Post by porkfriedmike »

Right click on desktop, click create folder, type folder name in under 25 seconds or you receive a timeout error.
Repeatable on 2 different desktops, after rebooting and fresh default installs. Doesn't happen mx-18 or mx-17.
Let me know if I posted in the wrong place.

there doesn't appear to be a way to adjust that timeout. however, if you use the Desktop folder in your home folder inside thunar instead of on the desktop, the timeout doesn't appear to apply in my tests.

Devs,

Please take a look at the above post. I found the issue with arc-darker too. A number of other themes are effected too.
