antiX and MX use exactly the same boot loaders, so whatever you did for antiX should work for MX. BTW, the legacy live boots use syslinux/isolinux, not grub.tosim wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 2:08 pm I placed the iso on flash drive, using MultiBootUSB. It will not boot beyond first page(sorry, no screenshot). I tried Grub, Grub2, and other available options (within the Grubs), and still the same. I run AntiX from MultiBoot USB with no problems, and would really like to try out MX. I realize I can burn iso to disc, and probably to a different flash, but I prefer MutiBoot USB.Any suggestions gratefully appreciated. Thank you.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
I get the impression that the OP is using an old Nvidia GPU, must use the nouveau driver now in Buster because Nvidia doesn't support the legacy 304xx drivers any longer, and GE Pro doesn't work with nouveau for them.Jerry3904 wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 7:45 am I just used MX Package Installer to install GE, and it works fine here.
If that's the case, they could check and see if the using the Web version at maps.google.com is an acceptable workaround. Otherwise, they could bite the bullet and find an upgrade for the card, or stick with MX 18.
Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
Yes, it's a long-standing issue. If you have a Intel laptop with hybrid graphics like Optimus working with Bumblebee, you can sidestep that problem by having the discrete GPU handle GE Pro instead, which gives better performance also.Jerry3904 wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 1:49 pm Didn't know that. I have seen no reason to switch to the Intel driver, so GE works fine.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
when you get running again, installing libblockdev-crypto2 and its depends, then restart your system, and you should be able to mount those luks partitions.JayM wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 7:41 amFYI, unfortunately the power button on my desktop's case (or more likely its wires) failed this afternoon so I won't be able to do anymore testing until I can move the motherboard, PSU, drives, fans etc. to a spare case that I have. I hope to be able to do that over the weekend.dolphin_oracle wrote: Thu Aug 29, 2019 10:38 pmwill do.
I think the problem is in udisks2. nemo has same problem, and gives same error.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
Only problem I've encountered was installing to sda19. The work around from viewtopic.php?f=92&t=51965 still works. Everything else seems a bit cleaner. MX-Linux 19b is looking good.

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
I posted about this, with a solution, for MX18, I'm on my phone at the moment but tomorrow when I'm at the computer I'll find the link. A similar solution can be adapted for MX19ß1 and antiX19ß3. It wasn't necessary with antiX17.tosim wrote: Fri Aug 30, 2019 2:08 pm I placed the iso on flash drive, using MultiBootUSB. It will not boot beyond first page(sorry, no screenshot). Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
I migrated a conky I had in mx18 into mx19, and noticed that the colors changed. Did the color scheme change?
True freedom is never asking the question; Am I free?
Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
Some changes to go with the wallpaper. Simple to change them with MX Conky.

I loaded MX-19 Beta 1 on my Dell Latitude E6330 SSD and I must be a bad beta tester cause it seems to run just fine. I changed many things, installed apps, downloaded and uploaded with no problem. I have been using this Beta for 2 days with no problems . . .
Great job!

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback
Hello,
I would like to install MX linux on the PC of one of my friends. Since the stable version 19 will be released in a few days, I would not want to reinstall it in a few weeks. If I install the beta version, will it automatically switch to stable as soon as it comes out? Or do we have to install with an iso of the stable version?
