we appreciate the help, but this is much easier on our end if you sign up for an account on transifex and submit translation changes that way. Submitting them hear is a very manual process.

Thanks for informing us of these translation improvements. I carried them out on Transifex. The others relate to Xfce over which I have no control.

As dolphin_oracle says, it's simpler to make these changes directly through Transifex. We welcome your input. Please send me a personal message, or continue the discussion in the Translations forum (start a new topic).

Xfce also uses Transifex, so if you want to contribute, you can easily do for both Xfce and MX.

does it go black, or does it still have text on the screen.

if black, try the i915.invert_brightness=1 as a boot parameter. or try just adjusting the brightness (up and down, because the values could be backwards) after waiting a while. I have 2 lenovo cheapies that do this. its annoying, and yes, they both worked fine on 18.3, but exhibit this issue on 19. antiX has the same issue on those machines (lenovo s21e and a ideapad 110s)
I tried the i915 boot parameter but it is still getting stuck right before plymouth. I get a completely black screen with a tiny semi-white 'promt' at the top left corner, but it is frozen at this point and will do nothing.
Edit: adjusting the screen brightness changes the background color a bit, but nothing else has any affect.
Edit2: it will boot in failsafe. Would be interested to know why it won't boot otherwise.

Sorry if this is covered already, but there is a superfluous line at the end of the /usr/bin/logoutsound-mx file. I don't think it's actually causing a problem, but it has the potential to do so if xfce changes its code. That line is xfce4-session-logout. It's already in the process of logging out!

Also, it needs 3 entries in Session & Startup. One, as now for logout, one for restart and one for shutdown.
Could that be why we see the login screen for a second or more as we're shutting down now? Some testers have remarked about that.

For a beta mx 19 works great. Props to the developers. One small thing that I didn't see mentioned before has to do with restarting, or shutting down the system. When buttons in xfce panel is clicked the logon screen will appear for about 2 or 3 seconds then changes to normal shutdown screen.
Uh, cough, cough, I guess I should have read a few posts above...

I'm afraid that is a hangup from not using systemd. I think. Maybe. Its been that way for a while. On the other hand you know you are logged out!
