I noticed that the request for Urban pics to be be submitted for wallpaper hasn't been too successful - although it's not my place (I'm just a forum user like most here) to say anything about this; I thought that I'd add a bit of info that some might find helpful:
My interest is in photographing Nature - trying Street Photography where I live would likely result in a sore head and no camera. I thought that some of you might live in nicer areas, and for the type of photograph requested, you'd only need your Mobile Phone. The minimum resolution needed for Wallpaper submissions is 1920*1200 pixels - even an 8mp (many have more) phone camera has a resolution of about 3456 x 2304 pixels (7.96mp).
So there's nothing preventing many here from taking a few pics while out and about in an Urban environment... Go on, have a go, you might find you have a hidden talent
Oh, Nomacs (in the repos) will handle basic cropping/resizing/sharpening etc - so if your pics need adjusting, you've got the tools freely available to do the job. Or you could even use GIMP.
