Re: Do any of ya'll play the free Linux games? New games preview video!

#44 Post by CyberGhost »

Hi I made another video to give a brief preview of each of my games that I have on my computer. The video is quite long. I didn't plan on it being so long but I have a lot of games. Just trying to give new users a look at the games I think are the best to play IMO. There are some other games in the repos that are worth mentioning and reviewing but I'll have to make a separate video about them at a later date. Anyways hope it helps new users to get a better idea of the popular games before they download them. Sometimes watching the games in action is better than just a screenshot. Thanks for watching! How did you get Xonotic? It's not on any of the MX repos.

Only sudoku and mines, whether gnome or KDE versions depend on what DE and distro I'm in. Even in MX I remove the preinstalled ones and include the above 2.
Desktop: Intel i5-4460, 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics
Clevo N130WU-based Ultrabook: Intel i7-8550U (Kaby Lake R), 16GB RAM, Intel integrated graphics (UEFI)
ASUS X42D laptop: AMD Phenom II, 6GB RAM, Mobility Radeon HD 5400

From the developer's webpage. Anything that isn't in my repositories. I always go to the developers web page. I know how to build from source. A good skill to have. But this package you just download and run. So I'm guessing a binary package.

Download
Latest release: Xonotic 0.8.2 for Linux, Windows and Mac

Anyone ever played "Civilisation: Call to Power" for Linux?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civilizat ... l_to_Power

I once purchased it and played it in Mandrakelinux, I believe, it was. It ran well, I remember.

"Drone riots" - no, wait, that was "Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri" (in Windows).
