The installer asks "OK to install GRUB bootloader at ?"
I saw that too, and assumed a root slash was missing.

I set the timezones, clicked next, and the installer vanished ! (not sure what happened, did I press a wrong button??!!?!?)
Possibly an installer crash, it never happened to me at that step though... not sure what's went on.

Probably missing a %1 tag or something, easy to fix.

Actually now, it probably doesn't find the boot partition for some reason, will investigate

Note that freefreeno states that his installer issues started with updates to mx17.
only installer I have ever gotten to work in the stock mx 17 iso without the updates. The mx 17 iso with updates will not work so something changed and now I cant install apparently in uefi and I don't go for that give up and install how it forces me to stuff.
The changes may have happened before the beta?

Also wonder if it might be the bios setting. Some machines have different settings for each device. E.g the main HDD or ssd may be set to boot UEFI first but USB stick is set to boot legacy first.

Might this confuse the installer?

Maybe set the min heights for the widgets inside tweak's tabs. They can squish down to where they're unreadable.

The installer asks "OK to install GRUB bootloader at ?", so maybe it is not seeing that 4th nvme partition for some reason. It offered the option to not install grub, complete installation, and then reboot and use the grub repair tool.
Thanks for this report, the installer is fixed I think, the update should come in a pool shortly, but you can also try the fixed package from here: https://github.com/MX-Linux/gazelle-ins ... _amd64.deb
